Attendance
The daily record of which students showed up — and the reports that come from it. Marking is fast (a whole class in one go), the history stays tied to the right year, and it turns into reports parents and the office actually use.
What it does
A teacher opens the class for today's date, sees the roster, marks each student and saves the whole section in one action — so even a 40-student class takes under a minute. The possible marks are Present, Absent, Late, Excused, Half-day and On leave, and the system remembers who marked it and when.
Because every record attaches to a student's enrollment — the student-in-this-year — it automatically lands in the correct class and academic year. Holidays can't be marked, and absent students' parents can be notified.
Inside the module
Day-level vs subject-level
Mark once for the day — "was Ravi in school today?" — or per period for senior classes that track period-wise presence. Schools can switch on the detail only where they need it.
Who can mark
Teachers mark only the sections they're assigned to; the office can mark any. The scoping is automatic and enforced on the server — a teacher simply won't see classes that aren't theirs.
Reports & statistics
Class registers for a date or range, a per-student history with their attendance percentage, and summary totals and trends for the office.
Leave applications
A parent applies for their child's leave — dates and a reason — right in the app. Authorised staff approve or reject it, and an approved leave shows as "On leave" rather than a plain absence.

Pick section and date
The teacher chooses their section for today and the system shows the roster — every student in that class.
Mark each student
One tap per student — Present, Absent, Late and the rest — then save the whole class at once.
Records are saved
Each mark is stored against the student's enrollment for this year, tagged with who marked it and when.
Parents are informed
Absent students' parents can be notified, and the office can pull registers and percentages on demand.
Why it matters
Parents see their child's attendance live — a month in, a guardian can open the app and see their child attended 92% of days, with the exact dates they were absent. The office, meanwhile, gets instant registers and percentages instead of a paper register and manual counting.
